Joint British Retail Consortium (BRC) audit success at our Corby Max Park and Wakefield sites

Menzies Distribution Solutions have had audit success with the British Retail Consortium (BRC) at both the Corby Max Park and Wakefield site.

 

The sites have had BRCGS Global Standard accreditation for Storage and Distribution for several years and have retained their ‘AA’ top grade for a further year.

 

The BRCGS Global Standard for Storage and Distribution covers all activities affecting safety, quality, and legality of food, packaging and consumer products in storage and the process of distribution; as well as activities provided by contracted storage and distribution services. Having BRCGS Storage and Distribution certification enables Menzies Distribution Solutions to work with food manufacturers, retailers and supermarkets.

 

The audit covers all aspects relevant to looking after our customers’ products, keeping them safe and protecting our customers’ brands and reputations as well as ours, including:

 

  • Policy and management commitment
  • Quality management systems
  • Hazard analysis
  • Facility management
  • Vehicle management
  • People and training
  • Operational controls, traceability etc.
  • Pest control
  • Hygiene and waste disposal
