Leading the pack in Health & Safety

We are delighted to announce that Menzies Distribution Group company Menzies Distribution Solutions (MDS) has been awarded Best Health & Safety of 2023 from our customer Ball Packaging EMEA. This recognition serves as a testament to our commitment in prioritising the highest standards of health and safety across our operations.

The award was the result of a review of eight service providers across Europe with others awarded Best Transport provider and Best Warehouse provider.

Mark Davies, Business Unit Director at MDS, said, “Improved safety performance has been a shared goal with Ball and through our proactive Health & Safety management process, 2023 saw a significant 9-fold increase on the number of safety observations in comparison to 2022. This has led to an overall reduction in the number of vehicle accidents, minor injuries, dangerous occurrences and RIDDORs. We have also promoted joint safety campaigns focussing on reversing and workplace transport.”.
